1st Braintree Scout Group is absolutely reliant on the help and support of numerous adults who help out in various ways to make sure the Group runs smoothly.

Leaders that run the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are given training and advice to make sure they provide the best possible Scouting for the young people in their section. Other adult helpers aid the Leaders giving assistance where needed in running games and supervising activities.

A vital part in the running of the Group is that of the Executive Committee. Parents and friends are encouraged to become part of the Committee which has direct responsibility for finances, maintenance, recruitment and support. The Committee meets every two months for couple of hours to discuss the running of the Group. It is very important that parents are involved so they can give their input and we know that we are delivering the highest possible quality.

As well as the Executive Committee there are a few small sub-committees and working groups looking after things like fundraising, hut development, grounds maintenance, etc. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved whatever amount of time you have. Contact us for more information.
